It is hard to pinpoint this poster’s exact date of production, but it could be between the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. “Yoshinogawa Co., Ltd.” listed at the bottom right of the poster changed its trade name from “Nakakoshi Sake Brewing Co., Ltd.” in 1973. In addition, in the late 1980s, alcohol advertisements started to display statements such as “drinking is allowed only if you are 20 years old or older”, initiated by the alcohol industry as self-regulation.
