Natsuko no Sake (Natsuko’s Sake)

A story of Natsuko, an office worker in Tokyo who returns to her family home after her older brother’s death. Her family runs a sake brewery and the story follows Natsuko as she exerts herself to follow in her brother’s footsteps to revive the ‘Legendary Rice’ and brew the best sake in Japan. In 1994, the story was adapted into a drama by Fuji TV with Emi Wakui playing the lead. There are other manga series created by the same author and related to this story such as ‘Kuroudo’ and ‘Natsu no Kura’ which feature Natsuko’s grandmother.
