The Six Immortal Cat Poets

A parody portraying the ‘Rokkasen’, six Japanese poets from the mid-ninth century. This work depicts the poets which include Ariwara no Narihira, Ono no Komachi, Sojo Henjo, Kuronushi, Fun’ya no Yasuhide, and Kisen Hoshi, each with comical pun on their names, enjoying sake together.
