Masamune Meiji 25 (Masamune 1892)

The custom of gifting an original calendar with product information was already a common way for companies to advertise their products in the Edo period. This work, which is a calendar of Meiji 25 (1892), shows the product name ‘(Sakura) Masamune’ on the top and the shop name ‘Iseya Genshichi of Inohana, Kawagoe – sake, soy sauce, and western liquor’.
