"Shirayuki" Signboard
This signboard for ‘Gekkeikan’ is made of a single zelkova board. It is said to be from the early Taisho period, and today it is placed at the entrance of the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum. Shown on the left is a ‘metal-capped bottle (machine-made bottle)’ and on the right, there is a ‘bottle with a drinking cup’. The bottle with a drinking cup was the first sake to be sold at national train stations and has a certificate showing it is a preservative-free alcoholic beverage on it.
Produced: Early Taisho (1910s)
