Story of the Loyal Retainer Oboshi Yuranosuke Number 35

Art depicting the situation just before Oboshi Yuranosuke’s ritual suicide by seppuku. The process of seppuku was extremely detailed, and it was customary to drink two cups of sake in two sips each just before the act. Oboshi Yuranosuke is a character in a Kabuki performance based on the Chushingura, modeled after Oishi Kuranosuke.
